This past Saturday I went to the Alhambra. It means red castle in Spanish because of the red bricks used that contain iron in them. It was a historic and political site from the Muslim kingdom. The catholic kings took over it after the Christian conquest and added more palaces and other buildings to this great citadel. This UNESO World Heritage site is the second most visited place in Spain each year. It is made up of fortresses, gardens and fountains, and palaces. Simply put, it is such a spectacular place! I never have seen a place like this before in my life. I could have spent all admiring the beauty and nature there.
