This past weekend I went on a trip to Granada located in the region of Andalucia in the south with some students who are studying at Complutense. We left immediately after class at two in the afternoon. It took us about five and a half hours to get there and we arrived at 7:30pm. We dropped off our suitcases in the room and took a brief tour of the city
On Saturday we left in the morning to head out to Alhambra (refer to my other post for more information). We returned to the hotel in the afternoon and after a siesta, I decided to go to the park of Fredérico García Lorca. I have read several works by him and was excited to see his house. Unfortunately the museum was closed due the summer schedule. However, I was able to walk around his house.

I had never seen a Flamenco show and I was hoping to see one. My friends and I were able to make some reservations at Albore Tablao Flamenco. There were four people on the stage, two men and two women. One guy was playing the car while the older lady was singing. The other two people were dancing flamenco with a lot of excitement. You must be in great shape to be do it. I loved the live music, dancers and the environment of this exciting dance. See the video below for a glance of the dance. I think you will like it. We celebrated the night afterwards with some Arabic food. How yummy!
