Mil Gracias al NSE

As I am finally home I am realizing it is such a bittersweet moment. I am glad to be reunited with my family but I have definitely left some of my heart in Spain. The most life changing lessons cannot be evaluated: learning at one of the most prestigious universities in Spain, making friends with teachers from all across the world, traveling all over Spain, eating amazing food and experiencing new customs and practices which have all changed me for the better.  Words cannot express how grateful I am to Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, the director of National Spanish exams and to the scholarship committee for awarding me this once in a lifetime opportunity to study in Spain.  This is by far the best professional development I have experienced in my eleven years of teaching.  I have learned so much and cannot wait to integrate it when I return to my classroom in a little over two weeks.  I feel rejuvenated and more eager to teach.  I also want to thank Dr. Celestino Ruiz Director of MLSA for organizing such an efficient and well organized program at the University of Complutense.

If you are deciding whether or not you should apply for this scholarship, just do it.  If you were a runner up last year, please go for it again.  For any future scholarship winners do not hesitate to contact me at oweneli@cpsboe.k12.oh.us
